Cross-Hatched, a programming series part of the special exhibition Jasper Johns: 'Something Resembling Truth' currently open at The Broad, celebrates Jasper Johns' collaborations and friendships with John Cage and Merce Cunningham. The series includes three evenings of music, voice and film on February 28, March 14, and April 18. Pianist Adam Tendler co-curated the evening and will perform live with video excerpts from Cunningham's Suite for Five (1956), Second Hand (1970), and Travelogue (1977). info

Sounddance (1975)
The CCN - Ballet de Lorraine will perform Sounddance (1975) as part their program at the Maison du Peuple on May 17. Sounddance was reconstructed by Meg Harper (MCDC 1968 - 1977) and CCN - Ballet de Lorraine rehearsal director Thomas Caley (MCDC 1993 - 2000). David Tudor’s powerful score for Sounddance provides an energetic accompaniment to Cunningham’s fast pace choreography. Mark Lancaster designed the original costumes. info
