Jean Erdman, Cunningham and Nina Fonaroff, all members of the Martha Graham Dance Company, presented a joint concert at Bennington College on August 1, 1942. Erdman was married to Joseph Campbell, who along with John Cage, encouraged the three to separate themselves from the Graham Company. Erdman passed away on May 4, 2020, at the age of 104.
