Stories from Stagers

UNCSA – Sounddance Credit: UNCSA in Sounddance. Photo by Rosalie O’Connor 2015

I love the UNCSA dancers. They are hard workers, bringing a maturity and professionalism to every step. Staging Sounddance was no exception.

It was a joy to reconstruct this work which had its last public performance nearly fifty years ago.Tread is a playful dance filled with unexpected partnering, human entanglements and all of the choreographic complexity that defines Cunningham's work.
