Melissa Toogood is a Bessie Award winning performer. She joined the Merce Cunningham Dance Company in 2007 and performed through the Legacy Tour. She has taught Cunningham Technique internationally since 2007, is a 2013 & 2015 Merce Cunningham Fellow, and has staged his work on institutions such as Stephen Petronio Company, The Washington Ballet, Vail Dance Festival, New World School of the Arts and Bard College. A member of Pam Tanowitz Dance since 2006, she also serves as Rehearsal Director, and Assistant to the Choreographer on many projects. She has performed with Kyle Abraham/Abraham.In.Motion, Kimberly Bartosik, Wally Cardona & Jennifer Lacey, Michelle Dorrance, Rosie Herrera Dance Theater, Rashaun Mitchell + Silas Riener, Miro Dance Theater, Stephen Petronio Company, Sally Silvers, Christopher Williams, The Bang Group:Tap Lab, and many others.
